A public forum celebrating the work of the Prince of Darkness and his band.

Nick Cave is many things – musician, singer-songwriter and author, best known as the front man of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, one of Australia's most celebrated post-punk and alternative rock bands of the '80s and beyond.

In March, the band released Lovely Creatures: The Best of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds 1984-2014, a box set with an accompanying hardcover book including never-seen-before photos and memorabilia. The book also features a series of essays contributed by five Australian authors: Bleddyn Butcher, Gerard Elson, Mark Mordue, Lyn McCredden and Dr Karen Welberry.

They will be hosting a free forum at the Arts Centre on Thursday May 18 at 6pm, to discuss the band's development, evolution and influence, creative processes, collaborations and the life and work of Cave himself.

Personal items from the band, including notebooks and lyrics, will be on display in A Little Odyssey from May 12 to July 9.
