Love Actually in Concert
Prepare to have your heart strings tugged. Again. On Sundays December 15 and 22 at the Arts Centre Melbourne, a full live orchestra will perform Craig Armstrong’s Love Actually score while the film is projected onto a huge screen behind.
This is the live show’s Australian premiere, but it's become a yearly mainstay in the UK. The 2003 film, set mostly in London, tells the story of ten separate (yet intertwined) stories of love, and stars British screen royalty such as Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Bill Nighy, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley and Rowan Atkinson. To us, this is perfect.
The first two screenings, at 3.30pm and 7.30pm on December 15, sold out quickly but tickets for two more screenings, at 1pm and 4pm on December 22, go on sale Monday October 28 at 10am.
