Louis Vuitton Time Capsule Collection
Louis Vuitton is bringing its Time Capsule exhibition to Melbourne. The show celebrates the luxury label's craft and innovations in design and technology and will show rare and iconic objects from the design house’s beginnings in 1854 to the present day.
The exhibition has six main parts, beginning in the Artisan’s Room where a maker from France gives a live demonstration of how a Louis Vuitton bag is made. Journey Around The World explores the evolution of the label's designs to fit the demands of new forms of transport, which includes a travel perfume case, a mini hat box and a travel bed.
The collection will have an Australian flavour; it will display pieces from well-known Australians including former Australian cricket captain, Michael Clarke’s cricket trunk, and Mrs. Lloyd Jones’s, wife of David Jones, trunk.
Hours: Mon to Wed 9am-5pm Thu to Sat 9am-9pm Sun 10am-7pm
