EP & LP Party at Marmont
After years in Los Angeles, DJ and restaurateur Grant Smillie returned to Melbourne last year and opened Hot-Listed Marmont, a California-inspired restaurant and bar on Crown Riverwalk.
Smillie (also behind Melbourne’s Ponyfish Island as well as LA hotspots EP & LP, Grandmaster Recorders and Strings of Life), is throwing a party at Marmont this Thursday March 20, to celebrate 10 years of his first LA venue, EP & LP.
He’s bringing EP & LP’s original executive chef Louis Tikaram (now behind Brisbane’s Stanley and Stan’s) to Melbourne for the occasion. Tikaram will collaborate with Marmont head chef Mark Tagnipez – another former EP & LP chef – on an EP & LP greatest hits menu. There’ll be Fijian-style ceviche, fried chicken with five spice and black vinegar, sticky spare ribs with pickled chilli and roasted rice, and mango pudding with lime sago for dessert. The soundtrack for the evening will be West Coast jams from DJ Peril.
