Ryan Chetiyawardana will bring White Lyan, 2014's Best New Bar in the World, to Melbourne for four nights during World Class Cocktail Week.

Hospitality is a big part of what makes White Lyan one of the best in the world. Chetiyawardana says he puts customers first, rather than drinks. This is possible because he mixes all his drinks before service – it’s the first bar in the world to only stock ready-to-drink cocktails.

Chetiyawardana and team member Zoe van der Grinten will bring their consistently considerate approach to hosting guests to Melbourne when White Lyan pops up at the Church of Bang Bang Boogaloo at Thousand £ Bend.

They will also tailor the drinks on offer to the pop-up. Drinks will include classics such as the Layered Negroni, made with Tanqueray gin, vermouths, bitters and layered zests. And the Beeswax Old Fashioned made with Johnnie Walker Gold Label, sugar, bitters and beeswax.

Other drinks include the Bay Cosmo Fizz, made with Ketel One vodka; the BBQ Bear, made with Bundaberg small batch, chipotle, mint tea and rosewood; and the Me and Julio Down By The Market, made with Don Julio Blanco and burnt corn.
