Linden Postcard Show
There’s only one rule (and no set theme) for Linden Postcard Show entrants: all works must measure 8 by 10 inches, exactly.
The longstanding exhibition-cross-competition, now in its 31st year, is on again at St Kilda gallery Linden New Art. Clusters of postcard-sized works have taken over the walls of the beautiful Victorian-era building. And if you can envisage any of them on your own wall, you're in luck – they’re all up for sale.
The exhibition is open-entry, so everyone from hobbyists to established artists are encouraged to submit their mini masterpieces. Submissions were made in a range of mediums and art forms, from paint (oil, acrylic watercolour and gouache) to charcoal, photography, ceramics, glass and wood. This year’s entries were judged by Joanna Bosse, curator at Bayside City Council, and Eric Nash, director at Benalla Art Gallery.
Open Tuesdays to Sundays from 11am to 4pm. Entry is free.
