$5 Ticket Week at Lido Cinemas

For the past decade, Lido Cinemas has been screening indie flicks, arthouse classics and new-release blockbusters on the silver screen and its summertime rooftop. To celebrate 10 years, it’s bringing back a week of $5 tickets.

That’s right, all regular movie session tickets will be $5 from August 7 to 13, including latest hits like Superman, Pedro Pascal and Dakota Johnson’s Materialists, F1 The Movie, Lio & Stitch and Freakier Friday.

It’s also hosting a 10-year anniversary retrospective, screening a favourite film released each year since Lido’s opening in 2015. On the line-up: Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Moonlight (2016), Call Me By Your Name (2017), Hereditary (2018), Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019), Shiva Baby (2020), Worst Person in the World (2021), Aftersun (2022), Past Lives (2023) and Challengers (2024). Tickets to any of these movies is also $5.

Snacks are essential to any movie-going experience. Get a medium popcorn and drink for $10 and $5 Billy Van Creamy choc-tops with any combo purchase all week.
