Free Native Plants at Let's Grow Together Sustainability Festival
Plant-lovers from the City of Casey in Melbourne's southeast can claim two free plants at the three-day Let's Grow Together Sustainability Festival, starting this Thursday at Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre.
There'll be 3000 native plants for residents to take home, in the hope they'll plant them in their gardens to keep the city looking green. All you need to claim your plants is your ID.
Other freebies include reusable shopping bags designed by a student from Casey Grammar and a free small smoothie from Boost Juice, if you’re willing to peddle for it.
There'll also be free coffee available to everyone bringing a reusable cup to Groove Train and Theobroma Chocolate Lounge, educational workshops for kids and information sessions with local business owners, council members and speakers who trained under sustainability campaigner Al Gore.
Collect your plants from 9am to 5pm on Thursday May 17 and Friday May 18, or from 9am to 12pm on Saturday May 19.
