Lemon Delight Launch Party at Modulr
Isaac Newton gained inspiration from an apple; for Broadsheet photographer Kate Shanasy, it was a Southern Italian lemon dessert. Her latest exhibition Lemon Delight – named after the titular dessert also known as delizia al limone – will feature a collection of fine art prints capturing slices of Shanasy’s European travels. Exhibited at newly opened Clifton Hill event space Modulr, the collection will transport you to nostalgic holiday scenes from the Italian islands of Ischia and Sicily to the small Amalfi Coast town of Nerano.
To celebrate the launch, enjoy a spread of Southern Italian food and drink. Brunswick cafe Pulcinella will recreate the exhibition’s namesake lemony, spongey, dome-shaped dessert for those who get in early. There’ll also be music from a clutch of local DJs and artists to keep the vibes pumping throughout the evening.
For those who can’t make it on the night, Shanasy’s prints will be available to shop online with a one-night-only friends and family offer. Prints can also be purchased at the event.
From 6pm till late.
