Lagotto Nights

Wed 15th January, 2020 – Tue 31st March, 2020
1 York Street Fitzroy North 3068
The Italian cafe has extended its opening hours – and added a porchetta sanga to the aperitivo menu (inspired by the famous pig's head version at Congress).

Italian cafe Lagotto opened as a daytime eatery in early 2019, and is now open for dinner service.

As of Wednesday January 15, the North Fitzroy spot will kick off Lagotto Nights – opening from 5pm until late from Wednesday to Saturday. The extended menu includes burrata with agrodolce (sweet and sour) peppers and almonds, porcini-and-pecorino arancini and hand-rolled pastas such as saffron linguini with crab, chilli and lemon.

Before dinner you can order a snack from the aperitivo menu, available from 4pm to 7pm. A brand-new item bears influence from the pig’s head and green mustard sanga at sister wine bar Congress

Lagotto’s version is crumbed confit pork belly, sandwiched between discs of pillowy white bread with roasted tomato-balsamic aioli and finely sliced fennel.

To drink: $5 Peroni Red cans and $10 Lagotto Spritzes with Applewood limoncello, prosecco and lemon thyme.

From 5pm to late Wednesday to Saturday.
