An exclusive new dinner series presented by Kennedy and held at Shane Delia’s CBD fine diner will feature four interstate chefs at their best. The first launches with a South Australian wiz.

Shane Delia’s recently refurbished Maha is one of Australia’s best proponents of premium Middle Eastern cuisine. But over two nights each in May, July, September and November it will hand its kitchen over to some of the best chefs in Australia to run a bespoke menu as part of Maha’s Unrestricted Dinner series. The initiative is in collaboration with luxury watch and jewellery retailer Kennedy, who share Maha’s passion for offering customers a truly exceptional experience.

The series kicks off this month with a two-night sitting by award-winning South Australian chef Lachlan Colwill of Hently Farm on May 21-22. With experience that includes time at Salters Kitchen, 1918 Bistro and training at some of the top restaurants around the world, Colwill cemented his credentials with his four-year tenure at North Adelaide fine-dining institution The Manse (now closed). While there the team won Best Fine Dining Restaurant three years in a row (2008–2010), as well as Best Restaurant and Best Chef in 2010 in the SA Restaurant and Catering awards.

In 2009 Colwill won the national iteration of the prestigious La Chaine des Rotisseurs Chef Competition, allowing him to represent Australia in the international competition in New York where he placed third. Since opening the restaurant at Hentley Farm in the Barossa Valley in May 2012, Colwill’s modern feasts have attracted serious acclaim. Colwill famously presents no menu at the cellar door restaurant, instead an unseen “discovery” of four or eight courses using produce grown on the property.

The Unrestricted Dinner series at Maha will see Colwill bring the full Hently Farm experience to Maha, utilising the best produce and talent to recreate his award-winning food just as presented in his own Barossa Valley kitchen. Across eight courses Colwill will demonstrate why he’s one of the best in Australia, and for two-nights only offer diners a uniquely tailored premium-degustation experience.

Each dinner in the series will present a bespoke menu which captures the chef's distinctive style, and will feature one dish inspired by Kennedy as creators of 'Moments in Time'.
