The Koorie Heritage Trust is launching its new gallery space at Federation Square, opening with an exhibition by multidisciplinary artist and curator Maree Clarke.

Clarke, who is connected to the Mutti Mutti, Wamba Wamba, Yorta Yorta and Boon Wurrung communities, presents her exhibition Ritual, Connection to Country. Clarke's dedication to the reclamation of Indigenous Australian art in Victoria has placed her work in numerous Australian exhibitions, as well as in the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Art in New York.

Wurundjeri elder Aunty Joy Wandin Murphy will welcome guests to the new art space.

The exhibition opens July 2, 6pm–8pm.
It runs daily until June 26, 10am–5pm.
