Kong Takes Over 8Bit

Thu 30th August, 2018
11:00am – 11:00pm
231 Swanston Street Melbourne 3000
8Bit is letting the Korean barbeque chefs from Kong into the kitchen for one day only.

Korean barbeque joint Kong is taking over the Swanston Street kitchen of burger spot 8Bit this Thursday.

There’ll be five burgers to choose from. The Kong Fury is a beef patty with kimchi onions, cheese, hot sauce and jalapeños and chipotle mayo. And the Porcman’s pork patty comes with cheese, pickled fennel and apple slaw, walnut ssamjang (a spicy paste made of fermented soy beans and chilli) mayo, and pork crackling. The Quinoath is a vegetarian burger with pickled pumpkin, edamame remoulade, lettuce and mayo.

There’ll also be Korean-spiced onion rings, dashi-salted potato gems, and furikake fries loaded with cheese sauce and kimchi.

Milkshakes have been Kong’ed up too; there's one with miso honey, salted caramel syrup and sesame praline, and another with black sesame and crushed Oreos.

If you can’t make it to 8Bit on Thursday you can still try one of the burgers – the most popular one will be available at both 8Bit and Kong for one week after the takeover. Or, play the Kong x 8bit online video game, where you can win a $500 Kong voucher.

From 11am until sold out.
