Kong BBQ is the Lucas Group’s (Chin Chin, Baby, Hawker Hall) Korean barbeque joint. Hector’s Deli is a sandwich shop run by staff with fine-dining pedigree. The Richmond venues have teamed up to deliver a range of sandwiches using Kong’s Korean techniques.
Hector’s Deli’s traditional menu will be replaced for one day only, with the likes of Korean fried chicken with green-chilli butter, and miso-glazed eggplant with Korean slaw, sesame mayo and rice puffs in a baguette.
If you’re more of a dessert kind of person, you'll want to try the Kawaii Split featuring Nutella ice ream, caramelised banana, whipped cream and hazelnuts in a fried bao.
But if you do sleep in on Sunday morning, the most popular sanga on the day will feature on both Kong and Hector’s Deli’s menus for the next month. But this will be the only time to try all the one-off creations, so you'd better set that alarm.
