The Kindness Kitchen at Saint George

Thu 6th June, 2024
12:00pm – 2:00pm
Saint Dining 54 Fitzroy Street St Kilda
Price: $7.90
Celebrity chef Karen Martini is joining forces with Chobani and Foodbank to host a three-course meal for good. And it's only $7.90.

Last year, 3.7 million Australian households experienced food insecurity. To raise awareness and funds, celebrity chef Karen Martini is hosting The Kindness Kitchen at her newly appointed St Kilda diner Saint George, where punters can dine a three-course menu for just $7.90.

That’s also the price of a 907-gram tub of yoghurt from Chobani who, along with Foodbank, have partnered with Martini for this fundraising lunch.

The menu will feature share plates of focaccia Pugliese with grape and fennel seed; potato cake topped with whipped cod roe; and charred Roman beans with baked ricotta. For mains, there’s spatchcock chicken with charred bread sauce and mostarda plums; anise carrots with macadamia and fermented chilli; and potato frittes.

On the dessert side of things, attendees can look forward to semifreddo made with Chobani’s passionfruit yogurt and topped with passionfruit caramel.

There’ll also be a talk with Foodbank Australia CEO Brianna Casey, plus a demonstration featuring Chobani’s passionfruit and strawberry flavours developed in partnership with Foodbank. For every tub purchased, six meals will be donated to those in need – it’s a delicious way to support an important cause.

Tickets are $7.90 per person and include a three-course meal, two glasses of wine and a Chobani goodie bag.

From 12pm to 2pm.
