Johnny’s Green Room New Year’s Eve/Day Party
Carlton’s beloved rooftop bar Johnny’s Green Room knows how to throw a party, and this time, it’s ringing in the new year with an Italian feast, free-flowing drinks, live entertainment and midnight fireworks, of course.
Celebrate New Year’s Eve with a champagne tower and curated cocktails by Matt Bax, behind acclaimed but now-closed Bar Americano. Food-wise, there’ll be a one-off menu created by culinary directory and star chef Karen Martini including tuna crudo with whipped cod’s roe; house-made arancini; open calzones fired in the pizza oven; and pasta served at midnight. And on the tunes: Melbourne-based DJs Afrodisiac, Chrysalis and Kuzco. Tickets start from $220.
The team are also hosting a New Year’s Day party on January 1 to keep the party going. There’ll be tunes all day by Melbourne DJ duo Mondo Ritmo along with local names Biscotti, Taijae and Phinious. Soak in the rooftop sunshine with cocktails, long-stretched pizzas and free Pidapipo gelato. Tickets cost $35 and can be bought online, or on a first-come, first-served basis at the door.
