Cheese and tea each have some of the most devoted fans in the world, so what happens when the two come together?
Cheryl Teo of Flag and Spear Tea Hunters has dedicated herself to finding out. The telecommunications engineer turned award-winning tea sommelier is teaming up with bespoke caterer In the Art of Entertaining to bring ticketholders a formal nine-course dinner, highlighting a selection of cheeses paired with single origin teas from around the world.
In celebration of the event, Teo will be opening “the vault” for the first time – a personal collection of rare and unusual teas. Highlights of the collection include a 15-year-old aged pressed tea, and a brew from a Chinese village only accessible by boat.
The event will be held in a heritage-listed converted church in Fitzroy, although the specific location will only be revealed upon purchase of tickets.
