A dog day afternoon (and morning) will return to Heide Museum of Modern Art this spring when the museum’s genteel surrounds again transform into a pooch’s playground.
While dogs of all kinds are encouraged to cut loose on the rolling grass outside the museum, owners can browse the special dog-themed market created in collaboration with Rose Street Artists’ Market.
Heide has curated a selection of stallholders for the day to sell all things canine-themed. As well as dog-related art and handcrafted goods, proud owners can commission a portrait of their doggo by illustrator Jeffrey Phillips, the perfect Christmas present for any dog lover in your life.
Local vet Vets on Parker will also be on hand to give free health and dental checks – for your dogs only.
Despite the ample green space, dogs must be on a lead at all times, but there is an off-lead dog park in nearby Banksia Park, which also has limited free parking. Long may they run free!
From 10am to 3pm.
