H&M Opens at The District Docklands
The arrival of the fashionable Swedish retail giant H&M to Docklands will coincide with the launch of The District Docklands, a $150 million redevelopment of Harbour Town Melbourne. The doors to the new H&M will open at 10am on Saturday November 18 and the first 500 people in will be treated to giveaways and special offers.
Events will run across the newly relaunched District Docklands precinct all weekend in celebration of the opening. A program of live entertainment (such as an all-female DJ line-up); pop-up fashion parades; roving performers; the launch of the Food Truck Park Summer Residency; live street art; and giveaways will lend a street-party feel to Docklands. There will also be free coffee, as well as sweets and Espresso Martinis being served.
Some of Docklands’ most popular attractions are coming to the party and opening for free for a limited time. Included are free rides on the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel; free entry to the 3D ArtVo gallery and The Blender Studios; free entry to The Brickman LEGO Experience; and free ice skating at the O’Brien Group ice-skating arena.
The precinct will also see other new retail openings including General Pants Co., Platypus Shoes, Blender Studios, The Docklands Art Collective, The Food Truck Park Summer Residency (Fridays only over summer) and The Blenders Art Market (Fridays only over summer). There's also existing tenants like Bonds and Hype DC, and upcoming openings such as Hoyts cinemas.
The District Docklands’ H&M store opens 10am on Saturday November 18.
