Hear My Eyes – Terminator 2: Judgment Day at Hamer Hall

Melbourne’s Hear My Eyes, the cult live-cinema outfit known for turning classic films into full-body audiovisual experiences, has spent the last 10 years curating and directing live score events – including Chopper scored by Springtime and Mick Harvey, Suspiria with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and Pan’s Labyrinth with Sleep D. Now, they’re delivering their most ambitious project yet at Arts Centre Melbourne’s Hamer Hall.

Hear My Eyes’s reimagined Terminator 2 pairs a pristine 4K restoration of the original theatrical cut with an all-new live score by Belgian electronic artist Peter Van Hoesen. Known for his hypnotic industrial-leaning sound, Van Hoesen expands his usual solo practice into a full performance with the Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio (MESS) Synthesiser Ensemble, drawing on MESS’s world-class collection of rare vintage synths and modular systems.

And as if that wasn’t enough, Melbourne artist Robin Fox transforms Hamer Hall into a futuristic battleground with a perfectly synced laser show responding to both the film and the live music in real time.
