Gut Oggau Winemaker Dinner at Lesa

Tue 26th February, 2019
Level 1 122 Russell Street Melbourne 3000
Price: $100–$190
The Russell Street restaurant is celebrating its first half-birthday with Austrian small-batch wines.

It’s been six months since acclaimed restaurateurs Christian McCabe and Dave Verheul opened their long-awaited upstairs restaurant Lesa above its bubbly sibling, CBD wine bar Embla.

To celebrate, they’re hosting a special evening with international winemakers Eduard and Stephanie Tscheppe, who are behind Austrian small-batch wine label Gut Oggau.

Its biodynamic wines are produced in a restored 17th-century winery using a 200-year-old screw press.

The five-course dinner can be served with matched Gut Oggau wines, or they can be bought by the glass or bottle on the night. It's $100 a head, or $190 for wines, too.
