Get down with the dingos and kick back with some kangaroos while listening to some Aussie classics this summer.

Victoria’s only water, wildlife and theme park is celebrating the arrival of summer with its first ever music event and a line-up of all-homegrown musicians.

Pop legend Daryl Braithwaite is headlining the outdoor festival, and rock singer Jon Stevens (formerly Noiseworks, INXS and Dead Daisies) will also make an appearance. Chart-topper Vanessa Amorosi (you'll remember her hit Absolutely Everybody) is playing familiar tunes alongside more recent releases, and fingers crossed pop-rock band Thirsty Merc performs Bondi Rescue theme In the Summertime. Reece Mastin will play songs from his latest EP, and celebrated guitarist Phil Ceberano is putting together his "dream band" – a celebration of all things rock, groove and soul.

It's the first of many music events to be hosted at Gumbuya World, only 50 minutes from Melbourne and home to more than 50 species of native wildlife.

The all-ages event runs from 4.30pm to 10.30pm.
