The Great Vic Bike Ride 2023
For the past four decades, the Great Vic Bike Ride has been a rite of passage for bike riders all over the country. The week-long festival of riding is so much more than just a cycling event. With live entertainment in the evenings, it’s also an annual reunion of 3,000 friends for seasoned attendees.
Taking place between Saturday November 25 and Sunday December 3, for the first time in over 25 years, this year’s event starts from Orbost, the heart of Snowy River country. The Great Vic will take participants riding along the river before heading further into Gippsland and towards Wonthaggi. With new riding goals set for each day, riders will make camping stops each afternoon before evenings filled with activities and warm regional hospitality from the local businesses in each town.
As always, The Great Vic offers three, five and nine-day options starting from $138 per day. The 240-kilometre three-day ride goes from Sale to Wonthaggi, the 300-kilometre five-day ride goes from Orbost to Sale, and the 540-kilometre full nine-day ride goes from Orbost to Wonthaggi, covering approximately 77 kilometres each day. As with all Bicycle Network Events, the rides are fully supported, meaning closed roads, rest stops, food and drink, marshalls, signage, and mechanical and medical support.
Early bird tickets are now on sale until Sunday August 13. Book your spot now.
