Gravy & Greyhounds at The Ascot Lot
Some of Melbourne’s best food trucks are coming together for a celebration of gravy – winter's favourite condiment – at The Ascot Lot. And if you need any extra encouragement to pop out on a chilly August afternoon, there'll also be greyhounds from Gumtree Greys, hoping for adoptive homes.
The event will be hosted at the Ascot Lot, a former deserted carpark filled that's been dressed up with recycled furniture, brick booths and an indoor bar.
Trucks serving up ladle-fulls of gravy include Dr Sous, which prides itself on its ethical menu and uses high-end kitchen methods such as sous-vide. Elsewhere you'll find Indian-style street food from Curry Up Now.
If you're not looking to adopt a new pooch, you're more than welcome to bring your own for a play at this 100% dog-friendly day out. The Canine Wellness Kitchen, a food truck for dogs, will be open with natural treats and doggy beer for your best mate.
It's a family event, so kids are welcome too.
