Start your Sunday with a Vietnamese-style coffee and lobster and garlic-butter banh mi at Hanoi Hannah New Quarter’s annual charity breakfast.
Now in its second year, “Good Morning Vietnam” is a collaborative effort with hospitality-based social enterprise Streat, which gives a leg up marginalised and disadvantaged young people in Melbourne.
Resident executive chef Anthony Choi will be frying the wild mushroom and truffle banh xeos (crispy Vietnamese pancake) and Streat’s head baker Didiet Radityawan will be in bringing the pastries.
The collaborative menu will have plenty of choice, plus there are sweet Vietnamese-style coffees and Bloody Marys and Mimosas to wash it down.
It’s $55 per person for two courses, baked goods and Vietnamese coffee (drinks are an add-on), the staff are volunteering and all the proceeds from the day will be donated to Streat.
Sittings are at 9am, 10.30am and 12pm.
