Godiva x Tokyo Lamington for Father’s Day

It’s a good day when two dessert connoisseurs team up to bring something new and delicious to the table. And when it’s a fresh twist on a well-loved classic, that day becomes even better.

Today, it’s Belgian chocolatier Godiva and beloved Australian dessert innovator Tokyo Lamington who have put their heads together to craft two new truffle-inspired lamingtons: the Traditional Truffle and the Dark Buttercream Truffle.

The first starts with a decadent chocolate sponge cake that centres a rich mousse and ganache filling. Its casing is a crisp milk shell which is then rolled in cocoa powder. “It’s a love letter to classic Belgian flavours, crafted with such care and attention that every bite is pure bliss,” Godiva Australia’s country manager, Haley Koo, shared in a statement.

“Dark Buttercream, on the other hand, is for all dark chocolate lovers – it’s rich, intense and divine,” she continues. Godiva’s famed chocolate buttercream sits centrestage here, enclosed within a chocolate sponge that’s dipped in a dark chocolate shell for ultimate indulgence.

“We chose these truffles not just for their incredible taste but for the story they tell. They embody a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity, which is what makes this collaboration so special.”

Naturally, the box of three isn’t complete without an original lamington. Filled with raspberry jam and vanilla cream, it’s dipped in chocolate sauce and finished with shredded coconut.

The collaboration is available to purchase just in time for Father’s Day. You can pick up the limited-edition box for $34.90 at Godiva Chocolate stores across Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra and Tokyo Lamington’s locations in Sydney and Melbourne.
