Northcote’s giant beer garden slash food truck park, Welcome to Thornbury, is celebrating the harmonious union of bread, butter and garlic. The trusty pizza-side staple gets top billing at the annual Garlic Bread Festival, now in its fifth year in 2024.
Stock up on breath mints, then head in to sample twists on the buttery bread logs from Mr Burger Pasta Face, Via Gianlu, Love Schnak Langos, Woking Amazing, Chef Calamari and Garlic Essentials food trucks. The bar will also be mixing a special garlic and rosemary Martini made with your choice of gin or vodka, while a soup bar will provide hearty complements to the various breads.
Entry is free, and you can book a table.
