Cancelled: Fromage a Trois Cheese Festival
This event has been cancelled due to coronavirus concerns.
Fromage a Trois Cheese Festival is returning to the lush grounds of Werribee Park Mansion this year as part of Melbourne Food & Wine Festival.
The producers and providores involved in the gourmet picnic include That’s Amore (and its cannoleria), Milk the Cow, Harper & Blohm, Boatshed Cheese, Dreaming Goat Dairy and Locheilan Farmhouse Cheese. Taste your way through them all.
Also on the menu: 48h Pizza e Gnocchi Bar’s award-winning pizza, truffle-stuffed mac’n’cheese doughnuts, arancini balls, and barbequed meats by Burn City Smokers. And for dessert Billy van Creamy will be scooping less-traditional flavours such as smoked ricotta and peach, and passionfruit cheesecake.
On the drinks front, there’ll be Curatif canned cocktails (including a Four Pillars Negroni and Archie Rose Espresso Martini), beer-and-cheese tastings courtesy of Stomping Ground Brewing Co and Milawa Cheese Co, and boozy kombucha.
Sharpen your cheese knowledge at a series of live demos and masterclasses with cheese makers (and mongers) – learn how to stretch mozzarella and make cheese-inspired ice-cream.
Beyond the cheese, there’ll be roving entertainment, lawn games and live music by Laura Jean, Jess Ribeiro and Olympia. Plus, DJ Bec Sandridge will be on the decks.
Your ticket includes entry, samples and a take-home glass. Entry is free for children under 14 when accompanied by a paying adult. Paid shuttle buses will run from Brunswick Train Station, and there’ll be free shuttles from Werribee and Wyndham stations.
From 11am to 6pm.
