Free Passata-Making Masterclass
Passata (or sauce) day is a sacred ritual for Italian-Australian families, which always falls in the first months of the year when tomatoes are at their prime.
This year the family at Windsor’s Tipico wants you to get in on the action. Head chef Daniele Colombo and host Luis Viota will show you how to prepare, mince, season and cook tomatoes in a way that would make any nonna proud.
And in true sauce day fashion, bowls of pasta and bottles of the freshly made stuff will be available (to buy) on the day.
Every half hour from 10.30am to 1.00pm. Demonstrations are free, but booking a slot is advised.
