Free Cheeseburgers at Nouns Deli

Malvern’s Nouns Deli, just off Glenferrie Road, has an unusual backstory: it was funded by the non-fungible token community.

This Wednesday September 18, the same group of blockchain-lovers are providing Melburnians with free cheeseburgers. Stop by Nouns from 10am to 3pm for a free cheeseburger. A Web3 collective called Nouns Dao (the same one that funded the deli’s opening) will donate $10 to Ronald McDonald House for every cheeseburger claimed.

“My late cousin spent a significant part of his life at the Parkville House, so I’ve seen firsthand the incredible work they do to support families during tough times,” director Guy Bently tells Broadsheet. “One of our staff members also spent time there as a child, so this cause is especially close to our hearts. It’s great to be able to show the positive impact that crypto can have, beyond the negative portrayals it sometimes gets.”
