Fitzroy Town Hall will once again transform into a dance hall on Saturday January 18 to raise funds for Fitzroy Learning Network. The not-for-profit organisation is dedicated to helping refugees, asylum seekers, and people in public housing.
At this instalment of Fitz Ritz, catch post-punk locals Cable Ties, genre-crossing artist Jess Ribeiro, and punk four-piece Pinch Points. There’ll also be DJ sets by jazz, psych and disco melders Mildlife, and No Zu, which are known for their duelling percussion, synths and brass. Triple R’s Fee B Squared will again be the MC for the night.
FLN offers refugees, asylum seekers, and those who are in public housing opportunities to develop new skills in a safe and supportive environment. All artists, sponsors and organisers are donating their time and effort for this event, meaning that funds from tickets and purchases on the evening will directly support FLN’s work.
From 7pm to midnight.
