Fashion on Film
Ever wondered about the cobbler who became Carrie Bradshaw’s favourite shoe designer? Or wanted to take a peek inside Yves Saint Laurent's sketchbook? Then head to ACMI in March.
As part of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF), ACMI will be screening two fashion documentaries from March 1–15.
Learn about the life of shoe designer Manolo Blahnik in intimate portrait Manolo: The Boy Who Made Shoes for Lizards; or see the genius of designer Yves Saint Laurent laid out in thousands of fashion sketches in The Drawings of Yves Saint Laurent.
Fashion on Film curator James Nolan will also be hosting a panel of local fashion illustrators to discuss the process of designing on March 10 at 5pm.
Tickets range from $8 to $18.
