Etta at Home Chinese Banquet
Etta head chef Rosheen Kaul is no stranger to Chinese food – she was surrounded by it growing up in Singapore, and wrote a cookbook of mostly Chinese recipes while in isolation last year. It was only a matter of time before the cuisine took centre stage at the bistro and wine bar.
Last week, Etta at Home debuted a Chinese feast with cumin lamb skewers, kung pao cauliflower and Aylesbury roast duck. This week’s offering is a little different, but just as stellar.
The eight-course Chinese banquet features raw kingfish with hot-and-sour lotus root; smashed cucumber salad; spicy pork wontons; lion’s head meatball soup; woodfired chicken wingette skewers; Hunan-style steamed eggplant; steamed rice; and mango pudding. The half-roast duck is still available to add on, alongside half a dozen Sydney rock oysters with plum mignonette.
There are also vegetarian and vegan options, with Sichuan-style cold potato salad; spicy vegetarian wontons; hot and sour soup; and woodfired vegetable skewers.
Orders are open now for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Available for pick-up and delivery within 10 kilometres of Etta.
