Enter Via Laundry Out-of-Town Pop-Ups
As seen on Masterchef, Enter Via Laundry is a regular series of adventurous degustation dinners in chef Helly Raichura’s own home, where going alone and meeting new people around the dinner table is what it’s all about.
But, in the wake of two lockdowns, Raichura is getting out of the house for Enter Via Laundry’s next chapter – a string of pop-ups at two idyllic, out-of-town locations between now and February. One is in Monbulk, at the western edge of the Dandenong Ranges, and the other is in Stonehaven, about 10 kilometres from Geelong. (New locations in Castlemaine, and on Phillip Island and the Mornington Peninsula, will be added soon.)
There, join one of three tables of 10 guests – all, ideally, meeting for the first time – for an outdoor dinner that will traverse 15 innovative Indian courses. Expect dishes such as kingfish with mustard, coconut and sea herbs; pork with black sesame, puri (fried Indian flatbread) and warrigal greens; and quail with cashews, fried onion and mint roti.
Most dietary requirements can be catered for, except low FODMAP and onion and garlic intolerances. And social distancing will be maintained.
