Enoteca Sileno Memorabilia Sale
After closing down in June, marking the end of a 70-year legacy, Carlton North Italian food and wine retailer Enoteca Sileno will open its doors one last time for a special memorabilia sale.
On offer is a collection of vintage Italian items from across Sicily, Tuscany, Puglia and Abruzzo – some more than 50 years old – all assembled over the years by Enoteca Sileno owners Rosemary and John Portelli.
There’ll be Murano glass jugs and decanters, copper pots, bronze statues, maps, prints, posters, wine racks, wine guides and cookbooks. Plus, you can get your hands on empty jeroboams (large wine bottles) and fake food for display, including wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano and thick legs of Prosciutto.
Entry is free. Both card and cash payment options are available.
