Double Vision at Screen Space

Thu 18th October, 2012 – Fri 19th October, 2012
7:00pm – 12:00am
Screen Space
30 Guildford Lane, Melbourne

Over two nights Screen Space will present Double Vision, an original dance production put together and performed by Yahna Fookes and Jess Wong. The performance explores the unknown future and alongside visuals provided by the dancers will be the work of projection artist Thomas Russell.

Fookes and Wong will present ideas of uncertainty and chaos, constructing an entire world of hysteria over the ever-changing nature of mankind. The show draws on inspiration from past science fiction works like Fantastic Planet, a 1973 French animation and Orson Welles’ radio narration of War of the Worlds.

This creation aims to immerse the viewers in a complete visual aesthetic and replicate the experience of panic that accompanies the undetermined.
