Discover the Night Sky at Scienceworks

Wed 7th November, 2018 – Wed 14th November, 2018
Melbourne Planetarium at Scienceworks
2 Booker Street, Spotswood
Price: $40–$45
Learn the ancient knowledge of our night skies (with a side of wine and cheese).

Scienceworks may be attached to childhood memories of school excursions and family outings, but their offering for adults is just as absorbing.

Discover the Night Sky is an eye-opening series of stargazing events, which this month explores the legacy of Indigenous astronomy. Astronomers Dr Duane Hamacher and Krystal De Napoli will share Indigenous star stories and discuss the ancient knowledge of Australia’s night sky – all presented in the museum’s stunning domed planetarium.

You’ll even get a chance to mingle with the speakers afterwards, share some wine and cheese and – weather permitting – take a look through the telescope yourself. It’s a planetarium experience unlike any other and this instalment is only happening twice, so grab a ticket to soak in the wonders that linger right above our heads.

From 7pm–10pm.
