Dine Out: Marmont x Mitch Orr Present Snaxxx Vol 1

Star Sydney chef Mitch Orr (ex-Acme, Kiln) is bringing his signature snack flair to Marmont for one night only, as part of Broadsheet ’s debut Dine Out festival.

Orr has built a cult following for his irreverent approach, that mixes high and low elements. The Jatz cracker has becoming something of a signature. At Acme, they came topped with smoked butter and anchovy. At Kiln, they were refined even further. Now, he’s back with Snaxxx Vol 1, a snack-driven party at Marmont, the sleek, Californian-inspired restaurant known for its light, bright menu and strong music program.

There will be six snacks to order as you please: a crumpet with smoked butter and anchovy; padrón poppers with mozzarella and shiso; maitake mushroom and wasabi leaf; Abrolhos Island scallop with XO sauce; tuna belly on crispy rice with tare; and a Wagyu halal snack pack.

There’ll also be $15 mini Martinis, an excellent lineup of wines by the glass, and a soundtrack by DJ Edd Fisher to keep the vibe going all night.
