Dine Out: A Long Table Feast at Bar Lourinhã

Bar Lourinhã is one of Melbourne’s most charming and soulful dining rooms – a love letter to Iberian flavours and old-school hospitality. This August, the much-loved venue will open the doors to its intimate upstairs space for a one-off long table dinner, as part of Broadsheet ’s inaugural Dine Out festival.

The event is a celebration of nearly two decades of stories, shared plates and culinary adventures. Chef Matt McConnell will take diners on a journey through Portugal, Spain and beyond – with influences from the spice trails of Goa to the coastal kitchens of Malacca. Expect a generous spread of soulful, seasonal dishes – many inspired by Bar Lourinhã’s greatest hits – paired with exceptional wines from Lisbon, Rioja, Sardinia and more.

Held around a single shared table for 50 guests, the evening promises flavour, conversation and that unmistakable Bar Lourinhã warmth. It’s an ode to the past, present and future of one of the city’s most enduring restaurants. Each seat includes a welcome drink.
