Dine Out: Bacash x Abla’s x Rumi

In the ’90s, Michael Bacash, Abla Amad and the late Greg Malouf got together for a collaboration they called The Three Habibis.

Today, Bacash and Abla’s – a staple since 1979 – still carry the torch for Lebanese dining in Melbourne, as does Joseph Abboud’s 20-year-old Rumi. For Broadsheet’s second Dine Out festival, the three restaurants are getting together for a 2026 rendition of The Three Habibis, backed by their 80 years of combined culinary experience.

The set menu will be a collaboration between the three teams. Expect seafood (Bacash’s speciality) and bold Middle Eastern flavours with a home-style Lebanese touch at this one-night-only event. Experience three of Melbourne’s favourite restaurants in one, only during Dine Out.
