Dine Out: Aussie Nostalgia Meets Mexico Menu

The team at Collingwood taqueria Santito prides itself on making tacos from scratch to keep things authentic. But for Broadsheet’s second Dine Out festival, Santito is flipping that idea on its head, putting together a Mexican menu inspired by nostalgic Aussie dishes.

There’ll be Vegemite and cheese sopes (fried tortillas), a lamb barbacoa shepherd’s pie, lime jelly frog in a pond and Tim Tam horchata with an option to add a shot of rum, tequila or Licor 43. It’s like a trip to your nan’s house if she just got back from a Mexican holiday. Only available during Dine Out.
