Shop more than 2500 pieces of second-hand designer clothing – starting at $20 – from the wardrobes of local fashion writers.

Claire Goldsworthy is the founder of blog and online shop The Fashion Advocate, which champions ethical labels and encourages local and environmentally conscious shopping.

In collaboration with Garage Sale Trail and Bayside City Council, Goldsworthy is hosting Coveted Closets, a one-day fashion market that gives buyers the rare chance to pick up designer and vintage second-hand items from the wardrobes of local fashion writers, bloggers, influencers, models and industry professionals.

Goldsworthy will be opening up her own closet, as will the Age’s national fashion editor Melissa Singer, personal stylist Sally McKinnon and a plethora of Insta-fashionistas.

Princes will range from $20 to $300, and there'll be nearly 2500 pieces up for grabs from designers Fendi, Camilla and Marc, Scanlan Theodore, Maje and Gorman. Highlights include a Miu Miu handbag and a pair of Christian Dior boots. Hawkeye Vintage will be there, too, selling vintage Chanel, and there'll also be second-hand denim, hats, jewellery and accessories in excellent condition.
