Thu 25th October, 2018
Melbourne Town Hall
90–130 Swanston Street, Melbourne
Price: $75–$150
You're never too old to have a boog.

This event is for anyone – regardless of age – who enjoys a fun night out and wants to support the LGBTQI community and its members aged 65 and over.

The evening’s gala dinner is accompanied by storytelling performances by LGBTQI community elders as well live performances from Close Encounters, glam lounge singer Meow Meow and Adelaide-based electro-pop duo Electric Fields. Also, a special Coming Back Out Ball Band will complement the line-up and host a surprise performance.

Aimed at addressing the issues of social isolation and marginalisation in the LGBTQI community, this event is designed to bring different age groups together for a night of celebration.

The success of last year’s event inspired the feature-length documentary The Coming Back Out Ball Movie, which screened at the Melbourne International Film Festival earlier this year. Watch the trailer here.

Doors open at 6pm. Free entry for people aged 65 years old and over.
