Michael and Zara are the people behind much-adored (and now shuttered) Melbourne bars The Everleigh and Bar Margaux – both informed by thousands of recipes Michael amassed and shared within elite bartending circles since working at influential New York bar Milk and Honey.
The Cocktail Companion is pretty much the same thing in print form: distilling 160 years of drinks history into a whopping tome of 2800-plus recipes.
To celebrate its launch, we’re inviting Access members to join the pair for a one-off cocktail-making workshop (with snacks!) to brush up on your bartending skills and learn more about the history of mixology just in time for the festive season.
The night will begin with a cocktail on arrival followed by a hands-on cocktail-making workshop and conversations with Michael and Zara about their new book. There’ll also be a grazing table and roaming canapes throughout the night thanks to the Reed House team (which incidentally includes at least one Everleigh alum).
