Cumulus Up Wine Bar on Flinders Lane is bringing back its annual City Cellar Door series of monthly wine events. The six tasting events will be held one Saturday a month from May to October.
Guests will be provided with a full cellar-door experience without having to leave the CBD; winemakers will be available for a chat and there will be plenty of wine for sale at cellar-door prices.
This year’s series starts on May 5, and Mornington is the first region to be featured. Expect local makers including Allies, Prossimo, Mornington Peninsula Brewery, Garagiste & Balcombe Gin, Foxey's Hangout, Main Ridge Estate and Avani.
Other regions to be featured are Central Victoria, Gippsland, Yarra Valley, North East Victoria and Tasmania. More local winemakers will be announced in the weeks leading up to the events.
A seasonal snack menu to complement the wine styles of the featured region will also be available along with buns stuffed with cabbage slaw and tender pork from Cumulus’s suckling pig.
Two Winemaker Lunches on August 11 and October 20 are $85 a head for a lunch designed by a winemaker with the chefs at Cumulus Up.
Entry is a gold-coin donation, which will be given to OzHarvest.
From 12pm to 4pm.
