The Schweppes Caulfield Thousand , taking place on Saturday November 18, is a new addition to the calendar this year, shucking prim-and-proper race day traditions for a more relaxed and casual trackside atmosphere. At the Caulfield Guineas and Caulfield Cup, a general admission ticket lets racegoers into Caulfield Racecourse’s brand new Wilderland precinct, with views of the home straight, the best in fashion and heaps of trackside entertainment (including tranquillity at the Hanging Garden).
Pre-season highlights include the Catanach’s Jewellers Caulfield Charity Family Day on Saturday September 23, featuring the centenary edition of the Group 1 Underwood Stakes.
