Carlsberg Beach Club’s VIP Sun Bed Section
Food and Drink
Fri Dec 19, 2025 – Sun Mar 29, 2026
12pm–9pm
Frankston Pier
Price: $130 for a four-hour session for two people
Following a debut season that drew over 15,000 visitors, Carlsberg Beach Club is back again this summer bringing a European beach club experience to Melbourne’s south-east.
The pop-up venue – from the team behind So Frenchy So Chic – opens Friday, Saturday and Sunday from midday to sunset and aims to serve Mediterranean beach club vibes usually reserved for the Amalfi Coast or French Riviera.
Visitors can watch the sun sink into the ocean and feel the sand on their feet while sipping cocktails and mocktails, or Carlsberg on tap. On the menu: a signature lobster roll on buttery brioche; a woodfire-grilled organic steak sandwich with tomato relish and caramelised onions; the Provençal sandwich, packed with mozzarella and cherry tomato confit; and a heap of customisable poke bowls.
It’s free entry for walk-ins, but those seeking a bit more laid-back splendour can book the exclusive Sun Bed Section. Which is what’s on offer to a handful of lucky Broadsheet Access members with our Carlsberg Beach Club VIP package giveaway.
Each winner gets a four-hour sun bed experience for themselves and a friend, including access to two individual day beds positioned side-by-side with a table and shared umbrella. The session is valued at $130 ($65 per person) fully redeemable for food and drinks, which means you and your plus one will score a $130 gift voucher on entry that you can use to order straight to your sun bed using the venue’s QR code system.
Sun bed guests can choose from afternoon sessions (12.30pm to 4.30pm) or sunset sessions (5pm to 9pm) to lie back, relax and unwind. Or catch some tunes – this is a bar run by a music festival team, after all.
Sunday evenings will feature free concerts showcasing acts like Nadeah (frontwoman for The Lovegods and French indie collective Nouvelle Vague), Melbourne troubadour Jacob Fitzgerald and alt-country powerhouse Brooke Taylor. Other times, DJs and playlists will keep the beachy sounds flowing.
Sound good? Entries are open to Broadsheet Access members from December 17, 2025 to January 21, 2026. Log in or sign up today for your chance to win.
