In collaboration with green thumb and disco enthusiast Plant Mama, plant-filled warehouse bar Rupert on Rupert is busting out the disco balls for bushfire relief. One hundred per cent of profits from the event will be donated to Wildlife Victoria.
The bar – in another show of support – has purchased booze from fire-affected breweries including Bright Brewery, King River Brewing, Blizzard Brewing and Mitta Brewing, and Adelaide Hills winery Nova Vita, all of which will top the night's drinks list.
Snacks-wise, there'll be pizza slices, tacos with pork carnitas or fried fish, and hand-cut chips with aioli. Plus, three types of sliders: Wagyu Beef, smoked-bacon jam, cheese and pickles; Korean fried chicken, Jalapeno mayo and slaw; and falafel, coconut yogurt and oak leaf.
Plant Mama has curated a soundtrack of disco, soul and funk tunes, which Heartbreak Hotel DJs will be spinning on the night. See you on the dance floor.
From 8pm to 12am.
