The Bushfire Relief Auction

Sat 15th February, 2020 – Sun 16th February, 2020
Leonard Joel
333 Malvern Road, South Yarra
Close to 100 works from some of the world’s biggest street artists – including Banksy – are going under the hammer in Melbourne for fire aid.

In response to the devastating bushfire crisis, Melbourne art collectors Sandra Powell and Andrew King (aka Sandrew) have compiled a diverse mix of new and existing street-art works by big-name artists to auction off. All proceeds will go to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

The most coveted is Western Super Mare, an original work by street-art icon Banksy, which Powell and King have donated from their personal collection.

There’ll also be works by international artists such as Shepard Fairey, Swoon, D*Face, Ron English and Hush, plus local superstars like Rone, Anthony Lister, Adnate, Dabs Myla, Fintan Magee and Smug. Price estimate ranges from $500 to $20,000.

The auction is happening at Leonard Joel, one of Australia’s largest multi-department auction houses, which will waive all auction costs to maximise the fundraising effort. There'll also be no buyer’s premium.

Bids can be made in person, by absentee bidding or online (in real time).

Viewing from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Auction from 6pm on Sunday.
