Luci is the kind of old school, glamorous day-to-night venue that makes dining out feel like an event.

Featuring mainly Italian influences, Luci’s menu is demonstrably focused on Victorian farmers and producers. And being set in the grand hall of Equity Chambers, it’s also one of Melbourne’s most stylish new restaurants – an elegant building dating back to the 1930s, featuring contemporary double-height ceilings, refurbished oak panelling, and bespoke marble tables and flooring.

To celebrate Luci’s summer menu, Broadsheet has teamed up to offer readers a limited edition chef’s selection menu.

Created by Chef Sam Moore and the Luci team, the summer chef’s selection menu offers a sample of four new dishes. Showcasing Moore’s characteristic creativity and precision cooking, the tasting menu is designed to highlight seasonal ingredients and balance classic and modern sensibilities.

Beginning with house baked heirloom tomato and oregano focaccia (drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and vincotto) and a serve of variations of melon, avocado, mint and basil. From there it’s Kurobuta pork jowl, cauliflower, golden raisins and macadamia; fregola, lobster emulsion with barbequed scallops; and dry aged Macedon duck breast, apricots and fennel

Sides of organic leaf salad with shallot vinaigrette round out the mains, before dessert arrives with Lemon meringue pie ice cream sandwich.

The exclusive dinner is priced at $120 per person and includes a welcome drink – a delicious Limoncello Spritz made with limoncello from Sardinia and topped off with local sparkling wine - on arrival. More details and book online.
